This project included the renovation and expansion of an existing 70,000 square foot warehouse space into an extremely inviting and relaxing automotive dealership that includes a showroom, business offices, and support and training facilities.
Color, material and finishes were carefully chosen to enhance the “island style” spacious showroom and ceiling. Lush tropical landscape and waterscape, as well as open and covered parking, further enhance this “world-class” facility.
Servco recognized the unique tropical setting, cultural mix and life style of Hawai‘i and allowed deviation from the standard “Toyota” design vocabulary. This allowed for a more “local” oriented, indoor-outdoor environment.
As with most renovation projects, there were significant limitations on what could be done with the existing structure – a former grocery store. Some limitations were overcome, creating the opening up of most of the front side of the showroom. The entire team made a significant effort to work out all design and construction issues.
