Whole Foods Queen is located in Ward Village in Honolulu and marks the largest and fourth Whole Foods location in Hawai‘i, becoming the new flagship store for the state. The excitement of this latest addition to the Hawaiian Islands was obvious with it’s opening week being noted as the most successful for the Whole Foods Southern Pacific (SoPac) sales region.
Unique in its design, the attention to detail, efficiency, and sustainability throughout the 72,000-square foot, 2-level space maintains the Whole Foods Market brand and standards, while paying homage to the island’s community, culture and beauty.
The palette of steel and concrete throughout the interior are purposefully left raw and natural to reflect the company ethos of healthy and organic. The stripped down nature of the interior architecture is a practical take on sustainability as it both saves on material and allows for adaptability for future renovations. It also provides an excellent backdrop for the aesthetically delightful vivid graphics and decor that is part of the Whole Foods brand
Whole Foods Queen is at the ground level of Ae'o at Ward Village, a 38-story mixed-use luxury tower. The development is a part of the Ward Neighborhood Master Plan, a LEED Platinum certified neighborhood providing an urban, pedestrian-friendly, gathering place for Hawai'i's residents.
