gastroenterology,orthopedics and oncology departments in one convenient location. The design team implemented a centralized registration and reception to monitor the flow of patients with each of the five individual clinics having its own sub-waiting area. Staff support functions for all clinics were centralized to increase efficiency and internal circulation patterns for adjacency of the services were planned in a logical and convenient layout for both patients and staff.Physician/nurse work areas were designed as centralized, open areas to further promote collaboration amongst staff. This coherently designed clinic also includes an adjacent Urgent Care center with self-contained functionality to accommodate for its extended hours.
