Robertson Properties Group, which is developing the $767 million, 14-acre mixed-use “Live Work Play Aiea” project near Pearlridge Center on Oahu, has submitted off-site drawings to the City and County of Honolulu for review, another step ahead in the development’s process, the Los Angeles firm told PBN.
Robertson Properties also noted that its continuing to work on concept design, and at the same time, is in discussions with multiple prospective tenants, although it declined to give any specific names. The drawings submitted to the city include improvements to roadways, sidewalks and landscaping.
The project, which includes up to 1,500 residential units in five towers on the former Kamehameha Drive-In Theater, received the necessary approvals last May from the city to move on with the development.
Honolulu Mayor Kirk Caldwell signed Bill 68 into law, rezoning the land in Waimalu.
Live Work Play Aiea has been described by the city as its first catalytic transient oriented development project along the multi-billion dollar Honolulu rail transit project rail route.
It will include residential units, offices, restaurants, retail shops, a hotel, a neighborhood market and public spaces to create an “Urban Village.”
Honolulu-based Architects Hawaii Ltd. and California’s Perkowitz + Ruth Architects are designing the retail space and the hotel project.
